Hungry for Your Feedback

Tonight in our debrief, we read aloud the comments we had received from our followers. This is an important time in our day to still feel connected to you. We feel so far away and would love to have your comments, encouragement or questions. Please post a comment so that we can read it together. We did not think we would have access, but are spending pooled dollars to connect to you via Blackberry as a modem. Please comment! We love you and miss you!

  3. Good Evening Lori and Team:

Lori since you and I talked right before you left I have been thinking about you and the team. I admire all of you so much and have been praying for you daily. I can't imagine some of the things that you are experiencing and the fear you must face being so far from home in such a foreign culture. I will continue to pray for you. I will also send something out to our ReachGroup encouraging them to take the time to keep up with your blog and write. I wish you continued success and will try to write again. God Bless your little runaway boy, I so pray that he will return. God's Blessing and Peace to all of you.

  4. Hello All,

Of course I re-iterate the sentiments of Amy above. It is so awesome that all of you have taken your lives away from your families and are sharing them with others in such need. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you daily and we look forward to your safe return with touching stories to tell.

    God's Blessings on your trip.

  6. Coming from a family/community/country where I haven't had to worry about even the most basic of needs I tend to forget that all people are not as fortunate. Myself and others tend to live in a bubble where our problems seem huge and really they are nothing compared to what many people face. Reading your blog has brought tears to my eyes and reminded me that I am very lucky in life. Your commitment is making me think about how I can help others as well. I am very proud of all of you and pray for your safe return. Love Missy (Jeremy's sister)

  7. Dear frinds:

Thank you for representing the entire First Immanuel family in your mission of compassion to the people of Guatemala. Your efforts reflect the love of Christ who invites us to "love one another." The love you share thousands of miles away from home, is contagious and inspires all of us to each out to those we meet each day. Thank you for your witness to us!

    Blessings to all-

  11. Hey Honey,
So glad to hear you guys are all doing well, and making such a huge difference in a very special part of the world. Many people have been asking where you are, and when I tell them there first question is "Why?", and then their question is followed by a statement, "That is so awesome!!". I agree. We are all very proud of the ILC from Cedarburg team.
Take care & God bless your travels and those you touch,
    Dan and the 4 Morski's

  14. Brigitte,

Brigitte, I did not know that we could post comments on the blog and when I found out that we could I had to get someone to help me get started. Sorry, but I remember when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Mom and I are very proud of what you have done with your life and your profession. The volunteer work you are doing now is really amazing. The trip sound like it is challenging, amazing, fulfilling, exciting learning experience. The entire trip and the challenges presented every day seem out of character for a girl(woman) who used to think that camping out was a Holiday Inn without cable TV. How cold was that shower?

Finley misses you - he cried awhile the first night and then settled down. Pippin is doing his best to keep him entertained all evening and especially pleasing to me at around 4:00 am. Finley comes into our room at night and actually licked my finger while he thought I was asleep. He is eating and drinking well - likes Guiness a lot - not really - he will be happy to be back home.

I'll be back reviewing the posts tomorrow.

    Love,

    Dad

p.s. I hear crickets are really good eating and can be classified as a vegetable. Bon appetit.

  16. Hi, Brigitte!

I've never blogged before but this is a great reason to start! We are so proud of you, Brigitte, and the whole team. How wonderful that everyone is so giving of their time and talents! And for such a good cause -- I wish you and everyone on the mission the best! We are looking forward to your return so we can hear all about Guatemala and its people and, particularly, your experiences there. We love you! Finley misses you a lot -- Pippin is trying really hard to make him feel at home by chasing him from one room to the next and not giving him a moment of peace! But please don't worry about Finley! By the time Pippin is through with him, Finley will be begging to go back home and take a week to get caught up on his sleep, as will Pippin!
    Can't wait to see you!
    Love you! Mom
